About Desiree Diaz

Desiree Diaz, born in 2003, is a visual artist based in Bakersfield, California. She is currently studying at Bakersfield College with plans to transfer to California State University, Bakersfield to complete a bachelor's degree in art education.
Diaz has over a decade of experience in digital illustration and more than five years of practice in the fields of character design, storyboarding, and visual development.
Her work has been commissioned for various creative projects, including independent animation and commercial work. Diaz has built a growing online presence showcasing her original characters, story concepts, and design work.

Visual development is where ideas take shape and stories come to life, and for me, it’s the heart of storytelling. With a lifelong passion for digital illustration, I thrive on transforming concepts into immersive visuals that captivate audiences.From environments that set the stage to props that enhance the narrative, every design choice is a piece of the puzzle. I approach each project with a focus on creating cohesive, engaging worlds where these important elements can truly shine.

StoryBoards

Storyboarding is where creativity meets clarity, and I love bringing stories to life frame by frame. With a deep understanding of visual storytelling , I craft storyboards that capture the heart of the narrative while keeping the flow dynamic and engaging.From pacing to composition, each panel is a deliberate step in shaping the story’s rhythm and impact. Whether it’s for animation, film or advertisement, my goal is to create storyboards that communicate visions and ideas with precision and emotion.
